Once in a while, everyone wants to take the time off to just go to some place quite, peaceful and be one with nature and their inner self. I am not spared of feeling that way. The hustle and bustle of life has wore me down, making me feel tired, lifeless and blah. You get the idea.
So, when the opportunity comes for me to travel, I left everything behind and went for a weekend escapade to the hills of Bukit Tinggi. The destination was Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills - a French themed resort managed by Berjaya Hotels & Resorts. It's about 45-60 minutes drive from KL and along the highway there are sufficient signboards to lead the way there.
Finding the place was easy with the help of a GPS. And to be honest, after cruising through the highway, the road leading to the resort was a smooth drive up that comes with breath-taking views. Green everywhere you see, the cold mist and breeze surrounding the hill top creates a pleasant and conducive ambiance. Even before I reach the resort, I could feel at ease, started to chill and enjoyed the moment.
All of a sudden, life becomes exciting and enticing again and I could feel my weary soul and tired body started to heal as we progressed up the hill. In fact, I enjoy and love long drive and walks very much because time will be spent to reflect about my life - past, present and the future. This quiet time to myself is what I look for - no worries, no stress, just being in the moment itself and enjoying life's simplest pleasures.
Finally, after a relaxing, eye-opening journey, I reached my destination. The distinctive, one-of-a-kind resort could be spotted from miles away as you're driving up hill.
